The outbox
Posts waiting to go out: reading them, skipping one, asking for another.
The outbox is the row of posts waiting to go out, shown on your agent's page with the next one on the right. You never have to look at it. It exists so that when you do want to look — Sunday evening, coffee in hand — everything is there, and anything you want to change takes one click.
How the outbox and the schedule fit together
The schedule says when. The outbox says what's next. At each scheduled slot the agent takes the rightmost post in the outbox and publishes it. If the outbox is empty, it writes a fresh post on the spot from that morning's material and publishes that instead. So an empty outbox is not a problem — it is the default. The outbox fills up when the look-ahead email writes the week ahead, or when you ask for a post.
Everything you can do
| Action | What it does |
|---|---|
| Read it | Click any post to see the full text, the image, and the claims-check result. |
| Reorder | Drag posts left or right. The rightmost goes out next. |
| Grade it | Thumbs up or down, with an optional note. Same as during setup; the image can be graded separately from the text. See Feedback that changes future posts. |
| Remove from queue | Pulls the post out of line — the same as a 👎 without the grade. It is kept in your posts, never published, never deleted. You can add it back later. |
| Publish now | Sends this post to your accounts immediately, outside the schedule. The schedule is unaffected. |
| New post (+) | The agent writes one more, right now, checks it, and adds it to the outbox. The card shows it thinking; the text lands first, the image follows. |
| Cancel a scheduled post | A post that already has a publish time can be cancelled up to the minute it goes out. |
| Put a post back in line | In the console's posts list, any post you took out of the outbox can be added back with Add to queue. |
What you can't do — on purpose
You cannot edit a post's text. This is deliberate. The moment a product lets you fix a sentence, you start reading every post looking for sentences to fix, and the agent has quietly become a drafting tool with you as the editor. Instead: thumbs it down with a note saying what was wrong, remove it, and press +. The replacement arrives in under a minute with your note already applied, and every post after it benefits too. A fix teaches the agent nothing; a note teaches it permanently.
Status labels
- Queued — in the outbox, waiting for a slot.
- Scheduled — has a specific publish time (written by the look-ahead for a known slot).
- Out of the outbox — taken out of line (by a 👎 or "Remove from queue"). Kept under Posts, will not publish unless you add it back.
- Held back — the claims check could not vouch for part of it, even after a correction. Never queued, never published; the agent writes a fresh one instead.
- Posted — published, with a link to it on the platform where available.
- Failed to post — three retries over 45 minutes did not get through. The reason is shown; usually it is an account that needs reconnecting.
"Generate a post now"
From the console you can also ask the agent to write a post and read it straight away. By the time you see it, it has already been checked and is already in your queue, with its Checked badge (click the badge to see any correction that was made). Generate another writes a new one from a different angle; Don't use this takes it out of the queue; Post now publishes it immediately. A post the check could not vouch for is shown as held back with the reason, and never enters the queue. The image arrives a moment after the text; platforms that require an image (Instagram) wait for it.
For a client's agent the outbox is the same, and the client can see it too if you send them the private grading link — their view has a "Don't post this" button that does the same as Remove from queue. See What your client sees.
