Pausing and changing course
Pause, resume, change what the agent writes about, or start over.
The agent runs until you say otherwise. Everything on this page is optional; most of it takes one click on the agent's page, where the robot lists what it can do for you.
Pausing and resuming
The button under the robot reads On autopilot while the agent is running. Click it and the agent pauses: the clock stops, nothing is written, nothing publishes. The outbox, brief and material are untouched. The button now reads Paused — resume; click it again and the agent picks up at its next scheduled slot. Pause for a holiday, a quiet period, or while you rethink the brief — there is no cost to pausing and nothing to reset.
The agent also pauses itself, and says why, when:
- the trial or subscription covering it lapses — see Billing and the free trial;
- it has no connected account left to post to;
- (client agents) it is somehow pointed at an account that is not its client's — a safety check that should never trigger.
Starting needs at least one connected account and active coverage. If either is missing, the button says so instead of starting.
Changing course without starting over
| On the agent's page | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Want to share something new? | You have news — a project, a talk, a win, a strong opinion — and want the agent to work it into how it writes. Free text; it lands in the brief. |
| Let me ask you something | You would rather answer than compose. The agent asks the one question that would most improve its posts right now. |
| Add supportive material | You have a book, article, feed or notes to draw from. See Your material. |
| Change my posting schedule | Different days, more or fewer posts, a new time. See Your schedule. |
| Accounts I post to | Add or remove a target account, or connect a new one. |
| Rate my recent posts | You have ten minutes and want to steer. See Feedback that changes future posts. |
| Show me the outbox | You want to see, reorder or pull what is coming. See The outbox. |
| Switch to console | You would rather edit the brief, sources, look-ahead settings and image style directly. Same agent, full detail. |
Starting over
Redo my onboarding runs the whole setup conversation again from the top. Your current brief keeps working until you finish — abandon the redo halfway and nothing has changed. It is the right tool when the agent's purpose has shifted (new practice area, new audience) rather than when one habit needs correcting; for a habit, a note is faster and keeps everything else you taught it.
More than one agent
You can run several agents — a personal-voice LinkedIn agent and a firm-updates agent on the same account, or one agent per platform with different schedules. Each has its own brief, schedule and outbox; material and connected accounts are shared. Create the second from Agents, or clone the first and change what differs.
Deleting
Deleting an agent removes its brief, outbox and history; posts already published stay on the platform. Deleting your account from Settings removes everything and cancels billing — see What we store, and what we don't.
