Adding a client
What a client is, what gets created, and what it costs.
A client is a person (or a practice) whose posts go out under their name, managed by you. Adding one takes ten seconds; the setup conversation afterwards is where the real work is.
Adding one
On the Clients board, "Add client" asks for two things:
- Client name — how the robot, the emails and the client's page refer to them. First names are used in headings ("Waiting on Dana"), so "Dana Whitfield" works better than "Whitfield Tax Group" unless the account really is the firm's.
- Contact email — where their onboarding link and weekly look-ahead copies go. Optional at this point; you can add it on their page later, and you will need it before you can email them anything.
What gets created:
- A client record with its own sealed space for connected accounts (one per platform).
- An empty agent, waiting for setup. The board shows Needs setup.
- If you are an Admin, you are assigned as the client's account manager. Owners assign one explicitly.
- If the organization is on the agency plan and this client is beyond the three included, the $49 seat is added to the subscription immediately, prorated. See Agency billing.
Status chips
| Chip | Meaning | Next step |
|---|---|---|
| Needs setup | No brief yet. | Open the client and start the setup conversation. |
| Awaiting connect | Brief exists; no account connected. | Send the client a connect link, or connect on their behalf if they are sitting next to you. |
| Needs reconnect | An account's permission has expired. | Send a connect link. See When an account needs reconnecting. |
| Running | On autopilot. | Nothing. |
| Paused | Stopped by you, or by a lapse in billing. | Resume from the client's page. |
The client's page
Everything about one client in one place. The header holds their name (click to rename), contact email, time zone ("until it's set they run on yours") and account manager. Below it is the strip of connected accounts, then the same agent workspace you use for yourself — robot view or console — addressed to the client. The robot's chips include "Ask {name} for something", which opens the hand-off picker. See Setting up an agent for a client.
Removing a client
On the Clients board, owners and admins have a ⋮ menu on each client's row with Remove {name} from the agency…. You type the client's name to confirm. It removes their agents, disconnects their social accounts on the platform side, and deletes their material, queue and post history. Nothing moves to your own workspace — an ex-client's voice never keeps posting. Posts already published stay on their profiles. If the client occupied a paid seat, the seat comes off the agency plan the same day, prorated. Pausing a client's agent does not do any of this; a paused client is still a client and still a seat.
