Taplio alternatives in 2026: nine tools compared, with prices read on their own sites

People leave Taplio for four different reasons, and the right alternative depends entirely on which one is yours. This page sorts the options by that, concedes where Taplio is still the better choice, and gives every price with the date we read it.

Published October 1, 2026 · prices verified September 30, 2026

First, what Taplio is good at

Taplio is the broadest LinkedIn suite on the market: AI writing from a library of several million posts, scheduling, a curated engagement feed, auto-replies, a lead database, auto-DMs and bulk connection requests, analytics with a benchmark dataset, team roles, an API and an MCP connector. If you want all of that in one tool and you are willing to pay for the Pro tier, nothing on this page replaces it one for one. Its 7-day trial gives full Pro access and its terms state a 30-day refund window.

Prices on taplio.com as of September 30, 2026, monthly billing:

TierMonthlyWhat you get for AI
Starter$39No AI credits; scheduling and analytics
Growth$69250 AI credits and 500 comment credits per month
Pro$199Unlimited AI; outreach automation

Why people look for an alternative

From Taplio's own pricing page and the public reviews we could read (Trustpilot and Capterra; G2 blocked us), the reasons cluster into four.

  1. The credit system. The $39 tier does not write. The $69 tier has 250 AI credits a month, after which Taplio's help center says generation continues in a lower-quality unlimited mode. The cap goes away at $199.
  2. Billing experiences. Taplio's Trustpilot profile shows a 3.5 score on 19 reviews with 53 percent one-star, and the recent one-star reviews are about renewals and trial cancellation rather than the product. We quote it because it is public and dated; your experience may differ.
  3. The Chrome extension and automation. Taplio's engagement and outreach features work through an extension inside LinkedIn, and its terms say that if using Taplio breaches LinkedIn's terms, the account consequences are yours. Taplio's own FAQ says the product is safe. We have no evidence either way about enforcement, and we will not repeat competitor blog claims about bans. We will say that in 2026 one long-running extension-based LinkedIn tool, Shield, wound down under pressure from LinkedIn and Google, and that risk is now concrete rather than theoretical.
  4. It still needs you. Taplio writes drafts; you review, edit and publish. For a professional whose goal was to stop spending time on LinkedIn, that is a faster version of the same job.

Pick your reason and read that section.

If you are leaving because of credit caps or price

Supergrow, $19 a month monthly or $16 on annual, includes AI writing from the first tier with no credit numbers on its pricing page; its blog says "no credit ceiling". Its interview feature ("Postcast") asks you questions and writes from the answers. It publishes through LinkedIn's official API with no extension. Its terms say fees are non-refundable. Best value we found for someone who wants drafts to edit.

ContentIn, $39 a month, plans your week every Sunday with two posts from your own material (three on the $59 tier) and "unlimited" drafts in your voice trained on your past posts. Official API, no extension. Its Capterra score is 4.7 on 82 reviews, a substantial base; the cons there are about AI precision and price, mostly from 2023. 7-day trial with a card, 30-day refund per its FAQ.

MagicPost, $69 a month monthly or $39 on annual for the Creator tier with AI writing (the $49 Growth tier does not write). Official API, LinkedIn-verified partner, carousels, analytics. Trustpilot 4.7 on 91 reviews. Note the terms: "unlimited" means 1,000 generated posts a month, and all purchases are non-refundable.

Reepl, $20 a month for 4,000 credits. Credits meter every AI action and the per-action cost is not published, so this is cheaper but not cap-free. Its extension is for commenting and the company states it never acts on your behalf; publishing is through the official API. 3-day trial, 14-day money-back guarantee.

If you are leaving because of the extension or automation

AuthoredUp, $19.95 a month, is the no-automation choice: an editor with formatting, previews, hooks, scheduling and analytics, "no automation, no cookies", data hosted in Germany. It also runs as a Chrome extension, but one that performs no automated actions, and its trial needs no card. The trade: its AI writing assistant is in closed beta, so you write.

Supergrow, ContentIn and MagicPost (above) all publish through the official API with no extension and no password. Supergrow's engagement feature is explicit that "nothing is sent until the employee chooses the action and clicks".

Buffer, $6 a month per channel, is a scheduler with an AI assistant and no automation beyond posting. If you only used Taplio to schedule, this is the cheapest exit, and it supports LinkedIn pages as well as profiles.

If you are leaving because you still had to do the work

This is the case Taplio was never built for, and most alternatives are not either. Most tools above write drafts for you to review, edit and publish (AuthoredUp is the exception: its AI writer is in closed beta, so you still write). The difference between "writes for me" and "I can leave it alone for a month" is two things: a brief grounded in your real work so the writer has little reason to invent, and a separate check on every claim that catches what still slips through, because nobody else is going to read the post first. Neither is a guarantee of zero errors.

PostAgent, $79 a month, is built for that case. It reads everything you have written (your profile, your past posts, documents, a book or guide if you have one), interviews you about your real work, and writes from that. Before anything is queued, a separate claims check reads every claim against your material and the public record, with a second read and a second opinion from a different vendor's model, repairs what it can and holds what it cannot clear. You get the week's posts by email before they publish, with a window to say no, and otherwise it posts on your schedule through LinkedIn's official API with no extension. It does not DM, comment or run outreach, and a post takes a few minutes because the check runs. 7-day trial without a card. How it works. The longer comparison is at PostAgent vs Taplio.

ViralBrain, $69 a month for the tier with LinkedIn auto-posting (the $39 tier previews a week and does not post), fills a 30-day calendar modelled on "hero" creators you name, through the official API. It is the other tool here that publishes without you per post. Its terms say outputs "should be reviewed before publication", there is no claims check, and we found no third-party reviews of it on any platform. The trial costs $1 and needs a card.

If you are leaving but want to keep the outreach

Honest answer: there is no like-for-like. Hypefury ($19 a month, all channels) has auto-reposts, auto-plugs and Instagram auto-DMs, but it no longer supports X and we could not confirm LinkedIn company-page support. Dedicated LinkedIn outreach tools exist outside the content category and are outside this page. If the DM and connection automation is the part of Taplio you value, staying on Taplio Pro is the defensible choice, with the account-risk clause in its terms read and accepted.

Questions people ask

Is there a free Taplio alternative?

Buffer's free plan schedules ten posts per channel on three channels. Typefully is free for ten posts a month. Reepl and Eden have free tiers with small credit allowances. Of the voice-trained writing tools on this page, Reepl drafts on a credit-limited free tier; the cheapest paid plan with writing from the first tier is Supergrow at $19 a month.

Which Taplio alternative is safest for my LinkedIn account?

Any tool that publishes only through LinkedIn's official API with your OAuth consent and runs no extension on your session: Supergrow, ContentIn, MagicPost, PostAgent, Buffer, Typefully. AuthoredUp runs an extension but performs no automated actions and states it collects no cookies. We cannot make claims about LinkedIn's enforcement against any specific vendor.

Can I move my Taplio content to another tool?

Your published posts are on LinkedIn, and tools that learn your voice read them from there or from your profile export. Scheduled drafts inside Taplio do not export to competitors; copy the ones you want before you cancel. Taplio's terms state a 30-day refund window from purchase.

Does any alternative check facts before publishing?

Of the tools on this page, PostAgent is the only one that makes that claim and publishes how it works. Every other vendor's terms place accuracy on you, and several say so in plain words.

Where this comes from. PostAgent is a LinkedIn ghostwriter that read everything you ever wrote: it learns your voice from your own material, and a separate check reads every claim in every post against that material and the public record before anything publishes. That is the lens these pages are written with, and it is why every competitor price here is read on the vendor's own site and dated. How it works · Pricing
