PostAgent vs Supergrow: the best cheap drafting tool against a ghostwriter that checks its work
Supergrow at $19 a month is, in our reading of the market, the best drafting tool for the money. PostAgent at $79 is a different product. This page says exactly what the extra $60 buys and when you should not pay it.

The one-paragraph version
Supergrow interviews you (a feature it calls Postcast), learns a "Content DNA" from your posts, and produces drafts, carousels and infographics for you to edit, schedule and publish through LinkedIn's official API, with no credit caps published and no browser extension. PostAgent builds a deeper brief from everything you have written, writes posts from it, runs every post through a separate claims check, holds anything it cannot clear, and publishes on your schedule with a week-ahead email. If you will read and edit every post, Supergrow is excellent and cheap. If you want posts that go out correctly without you, that is PostAgent's job and the reason it costs more.

Where Supergrow is genuinely good
We want to be fair to it, because it is the tool we would recommend to someone who wants drafts to edit.
- The interview. Asking you questions and writing from the answers is how a human ghostwriter works, and it produces more specific drafts than a topic prompt. Two sessions on the $19 tier, unlimited on $39.
- The connection. Official API, OAuth, no extension, no password. Its engagement feature states that "nothing is sent until the employee chooses the action and clicks" and that it runs "no pods, bots, auto-likes, or comments running in the background". That is the right posture for a professional's account.
- The price. AI writing on the first tier with no published credit cap is rare in this market.
- The extras on Pro. Carousel maker, infographic generator, weekly report, MCP connector. PostAgent has none of those.
Where the two part ways
Who checks the facts. Supergrow's terms say it does "not guarantee that Output will be accurate, complete, original, or free from third-party intellectual property claims", and its engagement page says "the draft is never the final word". That is honest, and it means you are the fact-checker on every post. PostAgent's claims check reads every claim against your material and the public record, with a second read and a second opinion from a different vendor's model, a verifier, repair and a re-read, and holds a post it cannot clear. You see the record on each post. It reduces errors; it does not eliminate them.
Who presses publish. Supergrow schedules what you approve. PostAgent publishes on your schedule and tells you in advance by email what is coming, with a window to pull a post. The week you are busy is the week this difference shows.
How deep the brief goes. Supergrow builds a Content DNA from your posts, and its Postcast interviews add material on top of that. PostAgent's brief comes from your LinkedIn profile, the past posts and documents you provide, the files and folders you connect (a book or guide as a PDF counts), and an interview about your actual work, and it keeps asking: a short emailed question, weekly or monthly as you prefer, about something specific that happened, which you can answer, skip or stop, so the posts stay current. More material means fewer gaps for the writer to fill, which is where invented details come from.
What the output looks like. Supergrow produces posts, carousels and infographics. PostAgent produces posts and an image for each, with the AI tells stripped as a separate pass. If carousels are part of your strategy, Supergrow has them and we do not.
What the extra $60 a month buys
Put plainly, it buys the two jobs you would otherwise do yourself: checking every claim and deciding to publish. If your hourly rate is $150 and those two jobs take you twenty minutes a post at three posts a week, the arithmetic is not close. If you enjoy the editing and would do it anyway, the $60 buys you nothing you want.
Who should pick which
Pick Supergrow if you want good drafts cheaply, you will read and edit every post, carousels and infographics matter to you, and you are comfortable being the one who checks the facts. Start on $19; move to $39 for unlimited interviews.
Pick PostAgent if you want the posting to happen without you, under your name, with every claim checked, and you would rather read one email a week than edit three drafts. $79 a month.
A reasonable path: try Supergrow first if you are unsure whether you will do the editing, and use the trial to see whether editing fits your routine. If the drafts pile up unpublished, that is the signal that you wanted a ghostwriter, not a drafting tool.
Questions people ask
Is Supergrow's "no credit ceiling" real?
Its pricing page lists no credit numbers and its blog says there is no credit rationing; the only numeric cap on the page is the number of interview sessions on the $19 tier. We take the vendor at its word and have no reports to the contrary.
Does either tool run a Chrome extension on my LinkedIn?
No. Both publish through LinkedIn's official API with your OAuth consent. Supergrow is explicit that there is "no browser extension to install"; PostAgent publishes through a posting partner's official-API integration.
Can PostAgent make carousels?
No. It writes posts and generates an image per post. If carousels are central to your approach, Supergrow Pro is the better tool.
Does Supergrow refund?
Its terms say all fees are non-refundable except where the law requires. Its 7-day trial is the way to find out whether it suits you. PostAgent's trial takes no card and you can cancel at any time.
Where this comes from. PostAgent is a LinkedIn ghostwriter that read everything you ever wrote: it learns your voice from your own material, and a separate check reads every claim in every post against that material and the public record before anything publishes. That is the lens these pages are written with, and it is why every competitor price here is read on the vendor's own site and dated. How it works · Pricing
